Finding a job you love is hard. So many of us toil in jobs where we are underpaid, underappreciated, and can’t advance our career. We’ve all been there.

A few years ago, I found myself searching for a job for the fourth time in five years. I would find a great job, thrive in it, then suddenly find myself laid off after a new owner took over the company.

I’ll never forget how unfair it felt or how hard each job loss hit me – especially when I had to come home and tell my family. Despite my effort and accomplishments, I didn’t have control over what would happen to my career or to our finances. Each time, the uncertainty of a job search left me stressed about finding a home for my career.

It was humiliating, and I felt like a failure.

I started this company to help other people avoid that feeling of failure and instead take charge of their job search. I have two decades of experience helping people find a job (and build a career) that matches their skills, values, and personal dreams. That’s what I call your “Dream Job.”

Those experiences taught me not just that I had to get GOOD at finding a new job. They also fired my PASSION for helping others do the same.

One day, after attending a job fair on behalf of my employer at the time, it occurred to me:

  • I am passionate about helping people improve their careers.
  • I am good at the job application and career-switching process – my methodology has worked for me and many others, and I have a “teach you how to fish” approach.
  • This could do a lot of good in the world by helping people build satisfying, sustainable careers.

When you figure out what you really love to do … aren’t you supposed to do something like that for the rest of your life? 

That’s when I started The Dream Job Network with the mission of having a positive impact on as many careers as possible. I've added a second mission: to democratize networking as a job search strategy all the way down to high school.

The Dream Job Accelerator is the next step in fulfilling my mission – an affordable and self-paced job search system with eight modules that touch on every stage of a job search lifecycle. In addition to helping hundreds of people each year with 1:1 coaching and group workshops, with The Accelerator, we can help thousands more people take ownership of their careers and build a professional identity that they can be proud of.  

The Dream Job Network and The Dream Job Accelerator are based upon my 20+ years of coaching and training experience involving all aspects of building your career. Job search. Leadership skills. Negotiation. Executive presence. Personal brand. How to grow and nurture a professional network.

Now you can build your career on my knowledge and experience, which includes:

  • 10 years in the Staffing industry, starting as a recruiter
  • 15 years of Training / Learning & Development experience
  • Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire, where I teach my course titled, “Finding Your Dream Job: Career Identity and Networking”
  • Lead coach and faculty member for Babson College’s Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP), involved in the student experience for more than 15 years.
  • Guest keynote speaker, workshop leader, and classroom presenter at colleges and universities— New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Holy Cross, University of New Hampshire, and of course, my alma mater, Babson College (among others).

In short: I founded The Dream Job Network and created The Dream Job Accelerator for one purpose: helping people find their Dream Job. That’s my Dream Job.
